For much of the last ten years, Angela Kelman has been creating music CD’s and compiling songs with the band Farmers Daughter. Although contemporary country by nature, the music and lyrics have accentuated an interesting blend of country, blues, rhythm and blues, jazz and gospel. Angela Kelman and the group have been honored with various awards for their songs, including a Juno, two CCMA awards, Big Country awards, and numerous others. They have two gold albums and have been featured regularly in the media and on television shows such as Canada AM, Pamela Wallin Live, CBC Newsworld, Mike Bullard, and others. Angela Kelman is currently pursuing a solo project with her release “Café Brasilia”, a bossa nova flavored cd. The cd features favorite pop songs from the 40’s to the 70’s in a bossa nova music style. The production is warm and lush with lovely intimate vocals that are pleasant and relaxing to listen to.
